Enjoy an evening in the wilderniss at Ovi Raishiin, a quite spot at the border of the Reisa National Park. Maybe the northern lights will turn up during the evening. No artificial lights in the nearby area.
While waiting for the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) to show up, you can warm yourself around the campfire or by the fireplace inside our facilities at the Visitor Center. Listen to stories based on local history and culture as we serve you a delicious dinner made from local ingredients.
Experience the natural surroundings as they appeared to our forefathers – before artificial light, flush toilets and sealed roads. Our traditional menu is based on local ingredients such as salmon, reindeer, elk and cloudberries. We cannot guarantee that the Northern Lights will be seen.
Warm clothes and shoes suitable for snow are required. It is warm inside, but outside it can get quite chilly while waiting for the Northern Lights.
